Research Question
What is the effect of public health regional surveillance teams (PHRSTs) on public health preparedness?
Goal
To systematically examine the organization, function, and capacity of the PHRST system and the teams’ impact on the public health system’s preparation and response to potential threats and hazards.
Aims
- Determine the public health preparedness and response organizational capacity of the PHRSTs.
- Determine what public health preparedness support and services PHRSTs deliver to their customers.
- Determine the extent to which the structural capacity of the PHRSTs impact the LHDs’ preparedness and response capabilities and performance.
- Determine the extent to which the support and services of the PHRSTs impact the LHDs’ preparedness and response capabilities and performance.
