The Behavioral Health All-Hazards Readiness and Response Training Continuum resources are now available!

The Behavioral Health All-Hazards Readiness and Response Training Continuum is a four-part behavioral health curriculum to prepare staff and volunteers to effectively respond to culturally diverse populations and practice self care during man-made and natural disasters. The Training Continuum is founded on evidenced-based resources and expertise.

The four-part Training Continuum includes:

  • Introductory training for anyone who may respond to a disaster, regardless of his or her role
  • Basic skills training for disaster responders who will need to deal with psychosocial consequences of a disaster
  • Advanced skills training for behavioral health disaster responders
  • Refresher training for everyone who has completed the other parts of the Training Continuum and wants to sustain knowledge and skills over time

The Training Continuum was produced by the North Carolina Center for Public Health Preparedness at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (NCCPHP) and the South East Area Health Education Center (SEAHEC).
