Overview: Planning and responding to the needs of vulnerable populations during an emergency offers challenges and opportunities for local public health, including relationship building with key organizations that serve vulnerable populations and identifying appropriate communication networks during a response. This session will describe strategies and methods to engage community based organizations, such as technical assistance, training and capacity building, in order reach vulnerable populations during an emergency.
